The RASH

I decided it is time for a new look for Deanna's Exciting Blog. I hope you like the move from circles to squares! :)

On Saturday, July 12 I gathered with some family friends for our annual summer picnic. We are now spread out in Middlebury, Goshen, Topeka, Indianapolis, and Chicago, but years ago we used to live in the same neighborhood (Hisers) or go to church together (Schlabachs). The gathering is now known as the RASH, which represents the last names of everyone involved.
R = Risser (me, Denise, Eric, Michelle, Mom, Dad)
A = Anum (Dienne, Morgan, Kyrielle)
S = Schlabach (Dale, Viv, Tami)
H = Hiser (Wayne, Bonna)

We met at Bendix Woods County Park west of South Bend, where we also were last year. It rained a little bit before we got there, but it was nice weather the rest of the day. We didn't have to wear our coats like last year. The park was quiet this year, not very many other people around, but that was fine with us.

The men talking and getting the grill ready.

Eric checking the burgers and brats. (and some chicken? - what is that white blob?)

Michelle reading Kyrielle a story. Kyrielle is the daughter of Morgan & Dienne, and the granddaughter of Wayne & Bonna

Eating all the yummy food that everyone brought. Eric, Michelle, Viv, me

More yummy food eaters - Mom, Dad, Bonna, Wayne

Talking and hanging out - Dienne, Kyrielle, Tami, Morgan

Kyrielle (and Wayne) taking a nap.

It was a fun time and I am already looking forward to next year! And Bonna, you made it on my blog!!
