On December 1 we got our first snow of the season, just a dusting.
By December 6th, we had lake effect snow (from Lake Michigan) which actually amounted to 4-5 inches. Usually when lake effect snow is predicted we don't get very much since we are in southern Elkhart County and pretty far from the lake, but this time is actually turned into something.
We did get a few more inches of snow about a week later, but we haven't gotten anything since, and it is now sunny and clear and the snow is nearly gone. All of the snow that dumped on the east coast completely missed us. They are actually predicting nearly 50 degrees and rain on Thursday of this week.
Friday, December 17th was the office Christmas party at the President's house. Since I work in the Executive Offices/Presidential Suite we were invited to the President Brenneman's house for lunch. It was a potluck of everyone's favorite holiday food from their childhood (mostly).
