April Fools!

We have been having MUCH warmer weather. In fact, it broke a record and got up to 82 degrees yesterday. It felt more like July than end of March/beginning of April. It is in the 70s today but very breezy. (That is not April Fools, it is the truth!)

Crocuses blooming in the middle of the yard on campus!

Yesterday was April Fools Day, and the students always seem to find a few tricks to pull. Luckily nothing they did this year caused any damage, and the president even liked it enough that he asked Physical Plant to not remove it right away and let students enjoy it.

A bit of explanation: GC has developed a new tagline/promotion called Healing the World, Peace by Peace. So, the students made a sign saying "Saving the World, Peace by Peace" and hung a cardboard cutout of Superman in the trees between the Admin and Science buildings. The funny thing was that they replaced Superman's face with President Brenneman's. It was cute and people got some good laughs out of it.

The sign, with Superman in the tree in the background.

A closer view of Superman.

An even closer view of Superman. Wow, he looks familiar - and a little patched together!
