September events

This is my second attempt at this post - Blogger was not cooperating last night. Let's hope I can get it to post tonight.

In an attempt to get this blog caught up again into real time, this post will summarize most of the activities in September that kept me busy.

Over Labor Day weekend, I went to Camp Friedenswald and hung out in Tamarack Lodge with friends from Ohio. We had nice weather most of the time but some storms moved in on Saturday evening. At lease that cooled it down a bit - it had been in the 90s before the storms.

The CF beach. I had just returned from a very nice canoe ride with Denise around this side of Shavehead Lake.

I taught them how to play Ticket to Ride!

My cousin Sheila got married in September (see farther below) and her grandma and aunts had a bridal shower for her on a Sunday afternoon.

My niece Emily was the center of attention for awhile.

Some of the guests: The groom's mom, my aunt Judy, Mom, my aunt Wanda, Sheila.

My aunt and uncle Doug & Sharon hosted another Risser gathering since my aunt and uncle Jerry & Jonna came to visit from Bloomington. They had not seen either of the babies, so we again spent some time visiting while watching the babies.

Jaxon (L) and Emily (R) are about 2 weeks apart. It's hard to get a good picture of them, their arms and legs are constantly in motion.

What's going on over there?

On September 17 my cousin Sheila got married in Nappanee. It was an outdoor wedding and luckily it was a nice day - lots of sunshine but also a cool breeze.
