A friend of mine from college, Cheryl (Barber) Spires was put on hospitalized bedrest several weeks ago for the duration of her pregnancy with twins. She was about 6 months pregnant at that time. Due to some complications she delivered the babies on Sunday, September 9. Daughter Josie Lyn weighed 1.9 lbs. and son Ethan David weighed 1.8 lbs. Josie is doing well, she is off a ventilator and IV. Ethan is not quite as strong, and continues on a ventilator, etc.
To complicate matters, Cheryl developed an infection and was put in ICU, but she was released from there yesterday and is doing much better.
Cheryl and her husband Brett have strong faith but would covet your prayers for this long road ahead.
The babies are in Toledo (OH) hospital and the family lives in Wauseon, OH. Thanks for your prayers!
