Hoosier Hysteria

On Saturday night Denise and I decided to go see a high school boys basketball sectional game. Westview is a high school in LaGrange County, who was 20-1 and obviously has had a very good season. They were playing Jimtown, another good team. I wanted to see Westview play and I didn't have anything else going on that evening, so we went.

Westview has a big fan following. The bottom half of the bleachers is "normal" fans, and the top half if young Amish people. It is quite a sight to see! But they like to yell and scream and clap for their team just like the rest of us.

Westview has a big scoreboard that hangs from the ceiling, like those you might see at a big college or pro arena. These people are serious about basketball! This was the halftime score - 21-14. The sides list the numbers of the players currently in the game, and how many fouls and points they have.

Westview ended up winning, so they will play this Saturday in regionals. Don't know if the Amish will take their buggies all the way to North Judson or not! :)
