Trust me, the RASH is not a bad thing. It's actually something I look forward to having every year. Are you confused yet?
The RASH is the annual gathering of the Risser, Anum, Schlabach and Hiser families. The kids (me included) grew up together in Middlebury and the parents have all become friends, so we enjoy seeing each other at least once a year to catch up. This gathering used to be called the HRS reunion, but Dienne Hiser got married and contributed the A by changing her last name to Anum, so we now have a much better name for our gathering.
This year we gathered at the College Cabin which turned out to be a great choice on the hot humid day. We enjoyed being outside a little bit, cooking on the grill, exploring the nearby Goshen dam, and going canoeing, but otherwise most of us enjoyed being in the air-conditioned (!) cabin with clean bathrooms.
I'm sure Bonna is already making plans for the RASH next year! It's so fun to see everyone and pick up where we left off when we were last together. The RASH is a great summer tradition!
