Yoder Christmas 2009

My mom's brothers and sister and families got together last Saturday for our annual Christmas gathering. We are a family that likes to get together, and I am realizing more and more that this is something to be very thankful for. We had very good attendance - only several of Marion's family weren't there. We ate, talked, laughed, played lots of games, and had a gift exchange of home-baked or homemade items, including cookies, candy, salsa, hot chocolate mix, and a few other things that people brought if they didn't like to cook (or feel like cooking). It is always a highlight for me to see these wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins. It would make my grandparents proud to see all that we have become!

Getting some of the food ready: Mom, Melanie, Shelley, Wanda, Anna

Kevin & Andre.

The Nofziger kids: Mattea, Rebekah, and Andre

Taking pictures of the cute kids: Kevin, Sheila, Anna, Wendell
bottom: Erin, Galen.

Wendell and Andre opening a gift

Aunt Judy knitted slippers for all the women. Here we are modeling them, with one addition. (she didn't make the sock monkey slippers).

Shelley and Charles passing out a fleece throw for all the ladies.

Kevin and John making John's famous eggnog. (Unfortunately, I didn't get any)

Looking at old family pictures that Regina had taken. Regina was Marion's first wife who passed away in 1996.
