Last week Tom & Lois Harder and their daughters Hillary, Madeline & Anna were in the area during their spring break. They brought Tom's dad with them to meet someone at Greencroft :) and Hillary also wanted to visit Goshen College :) :). They spent the week at the Sycamore at Friedenswald along with Tom's brother John, his wife Julie and their daughter Chani from Canada, and invited people that they had worked with during their Friedenswald days to come for an evening of eating and reminiscing. It was SO great to see these lifelong friends again. I may be a little biased, but I feel those times (approximately 1993-1996) were some of the glory years of Friedenswald, when things were going well and staff worked well together.
We explored the new fen walkway at camp, ate supper together, then spent some time sharing where each of us are in our lives. Many of our lives have changed a lot in the last 10-15 years, and some have not.
Those in attendance were: Tom, Lois, Hillary, Madeline & Anna Harder, Penny Yarman, Cheryl Mast, Michelle Lehman, Alden & Doris Bohn, Hilary & Gladys Bertsche, Duane, Carolyn & Leah Gundy, Denise, me, and Tom's dad, brother and family.
