Tomorrow night I, Denise, and our friend Penny organized a Camp Friedenswald reunion for year-round staff who worked there from 93-96. The program directors during that time, Tom and Lois Harder, currently live in Wichita, KS but are in town to be camp pastors at camp next week, so we decided to try to get people together while they are around. At last count there will be at least 25 people there. We are gathering at Lakeview Lodge at Friedenswald, so it should be fun for all of us to be back on our old stomping grounds.
Here are some pictures from the last few days of my vacation - now over two weeks ago. Where does the time go?
John, Brenda, Sam and Annika Risser, who we visited in Bellingham, WA.
The view from their yard showing some of the beautiful landscaping they have done.
We also spent a day in Seattle with Sharon (Yoder) Smith and her family: husband Charlie, and sons Zachary, Gavin, and Noah.
Our last day in Washington we spent on a whale watching tour. Pictures cannot begin to show you the amazing and fun experience we had. We had some great views of many orca whales and other wildlife as well - bald eagles, harbor seals, and sea birds.
