Center for Healing and Hope bike ride

Yesterday (Saturday) was a fundraising bike ride for the Center for Healing and Hope, a local free health clinic. There are several bike rides like this in the area, but it has never worked for me to participate before (or I lacked the motivation.)

This ride featured rides of 12, 29, 43 and 64 miles. Denise, Penny and I did the 12 mile ride; the longer bike rides were for people more serious about biking than us. The ride was all on the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail which means that most of it was paved and most of it was flat. The Pumpkinvine is being built mostly on an old railroad bed, and will eventually reach from Goshen to Shipshewana. A new section had just been completed several weeks ago so it was fun to ride on that for the first time.
