Father's Day

Denise and I went over to Mom and Dad's house on Sunday evening for Father's Day. Eric and Michelle were there too. We enjoyed grilled brats made expertly by Eric and Dad.


and then played a rousing game of Shanghi Rook. Unfortunately, Dad didn't do so well on Father's Day, but we all still had fun.

We stayed inside instead of enjoying the sunporch or outside since the temps continued in the 90's and humid, as it had been all week.

Mom and I were reflecting how thankful we were to have Dad around on this Father's Day. A family friend of Mom's died last week after open heart surgery and then suffering two strokes after surgery. Dad's bypass surgery last October went very well and he has recovered very well. Praise the Lord!
