Guinea

This guinea has been hanging around our area for about the last year. Originally there were six of them but now there is only one. I wonder if someone dropped them off in the country to get rid of them. This bird has to be one of the ugliest things that God created! It has a very big body and a tiny head and legs. It also makes odd, high-pitched squawking noises when it is frightened or has something to say. This picture is taken from across our yard - I couldn't get any closer to him, although yesterday I found him in the back flowerbed and he went running away.
